The Ballarat Tramway Museum (ABN 99 802 586 755) is a not-for-profit association dedicated to preserving Ballarat’s tramway heritage for future generations.

As a Registered Charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission, the Museum holds Deductible Gift Recipient status, including eligibility under the Cultural Gifts Program.

Donations are a major source of funding and directly support the ongoing maintenance of our tramcars, infrastructure and facilities, as well as future restoration and development projects.

All donations are gratefully received.

Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.

Donations to the Collection

Our collection continues to grow, and we are always interested in material associated with the Ballarat tramway system, other Victorian provincial tramways, and related transport history.

We welcome offers of:

  • Photographs
  • Tickets
  • Documents
  • Small artefacts
  • Tramway-related memorabilia

All offers are assessed in accordance with the Museum’s Collection Policy.
